MOCA Teen Art Force is a one-of-a-kind, free,multidisciplinary art program that provides teens ages 13–17 with a foundationin the arts. Classes include a wide range of art techniques including design,drawing, sculpture, digital art and printmaking. Students also complete serviceprojects, attend trips to art institutions, develop art portfolios, learn aboutthe ins and outs of museums and have the opportunity to showcase their work at MOCA.
Classes are held Monday - Friday from 3 PM - 6 PM.
Adquiere la experiencia de un diseñador de moda estudiando las tendencias de la moda, esbozando tus propios diseños y creando ropa y accesorios para la tienda y el escaparate del MOCA.
Preparar y adquirir habilidades básicas para portafolios estudiantiles o profesionales. Mejorar el trabajo existente o recibir ayuda para crear un trabajo que ayudará a fortalecer cualquier universidad o solicitud de empleo. Esta clase incluye dibujo gestual y figurativo, pintura de bodegones y otros proyectos básicos.

Explore the world of digital and printed art. Learn the fundamentals of photography, animation, design, printmaking, and digital media.
Get a behind-the-scenes understanding of the ins and outs of Museums. Participate in fieldtrips to museums and artist studios, learn about curating an exhibition, and engage in professional development opportunities. The year will culminate with the students leading a new exhibition at MOCA of TAF artwork. You will also have the opportunity to participate in creating the MOCAzine – an annual zine made by and about the life of a Teen Art Force student.
This popular program serves hundreds of students each year with free art classes on Thursdays from 3-4 PM at both North Miami Public Library and Brockway Memorial Library. Guided by a professional artist, teens learn about contemporary art throughengaging classes and hands-on art-making experiences.
En colaboración con Guitars Over Guns, MOCA puso en marcha un nuevo programa de fotografía en North Miami Senior High School que combina la tutoría con un fuerte enfoque en el aprendizaje. El programa ofrece a los estudiantes una experiencia educativa inspiradora y atractiva los lunes y miércoles durante el año escolar.
This unique 4th-5th grade level program allows students toreview training in transferable skills including public speaking,communication, critical thinking, leadership, self esteem and career readiness,using MOCA’s exhibitions as subject matter.
