Jazz at MOCA featuring Kendall "King" Friday

Visión general

Join us on JAZZ at MOCA on Friday, February 27 as we feature Kendall "King" Friday and Weeks End.

Kendall “King” Friday is a self-taught musician, producer, and songwriter whose work is rooted in the musical traditions of the American South, drawing from R&B, soul, funk, gospel, and jazz. With over 15 years of experience, he leads Weeks End, a dynamic ensemble known for live performances that prioritize connection, groove, and shared energy. Blending live instrumentation with modern production, the group embraces spontaneity and improvisation, allowing each performance to unfold in real time. Friday’s music bridges past and present, inviting audiences into an immersive experience where rhythm, collaboration, and community take center stage.

Jazz at MOCA is back! South Florida’s longest-running free outdoor jazz concert series and one of the museum’s most beloved public programs returns for in-person open air musical entertainment. Since 1999, Jazz at MOCA has been presented on the MOCA Plaza on the last Friday of the month. Hundreds of concert-goers have enjoyed a free concert, activations, and pay as you wish admission to the museum from 7 to 10 p.m.

Seating starts at 7 PM, concert begins at 8 PM.

Registration includes access to the MOCA galleries until 10pm. Guests do do not need to check-in upon arrival.

**Please note, seating is first-come first-serve, but you're welcome to bring your own chairs.**
