Fronted by the enchanting vocals of Rose Max, Samambaia features the elegance of the seven-string guitar, a masterful pandeiro player, an expressive percussive flutist, and a diverse array of Afro-Brazilian percussion.  

Their music not only embraces the traditional Samba Raiz, but elevates it with a contemporary andpolished flair that appeals to both purists and new audiences alike. Samambaia often collaborates with the high-energy Bateria Saideira of Miamibloco percussion collective and dancers. This partnership brings the exuberant sounds and rhythms of Carnaval directly to the audience, weaving the festive atmosphere of the streets of Rio de Janeiro with the refined ambience of upscale clubs.
