Celebrate Diversity with “Different is a Great Thing to Be” and Friendship Bracelets!

This Disability Awareness Month, we invite participants to join us for an inspiring and hands-on Sunday Stories program. In this session, we’ll read Different is a Great Thing to Be, a heartwarming story that celebrates the beauty of being unique and embracing differences. After the read-aloud, participants will create their own friendship bracelets as a symbol of connection and inclusion. This program fosters understanding, kindness, and creativity while celebrating the diversity that makes us all special.

Children attending with their caregiver will receive a  “Different is a Great Thing to Be” free book to take home, courtesy of our partners at the Books and Books Literary Foundation.

In addition, each child will have the opportunity receive a range of free children’s books, courtesy of our partners at Miami Book Fair's Books for Free program. Books are available while supplies last—don’t miss out!
